How is the post count worked out?

One post every 8 feet plus one to finish the run, which is typical for wood privacy fence. Gate posts and corners can add a few.

Are the prices real?

They are sample installed prices per linear foot. Swap in your own; nothing is saved or sent anywhere.

How much deposit can I take?

It depends on your state. California, for example, caps it at $1,000 or 10%, whichever is less. Use the deposit limit calculator.
